HI team,
we have a new deployment of DCE in a customer with two data centers. The customer says that the has not enough private IPs to configure all the devices that have to been monitored.
He proposes to assign an internal range for all the devices that are going to be monitored, but not as a second network interface in DCE, because they only have one network from DCE server to their data centers. So they want to install a network device (switch layer 3 for example) to join both networks in each data center.
DCE would be 192.168.1.x, monitored devices 10.0.0.x and layer 3 switches would have both.
Is this configuration workable for DCE? I do not know if the devices are going to be reachable from DCE because the default gateway would not be neither of the two layer 3 switches.
Thanks in advance

Hi Javier!
Yes, it will work if L3 switch will be configured correctly.
It should be something like decribed here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/lan-switching/inter-vlan-routing/41260-189.html
