Hi I have a DCE 7.3.1 VM I am trying to upgrade but during the upgrade the server hangs the web interface displays this message
Data Center Expert is starting up. Please wait.
This page will refresh every 10 seconds
and the client says its also starting up.
But it doesn't start up! going direct on the machine it shows still running 7.3.1 and i get at user log on but no details will work . I have tried rebooting the VM but no change.

Did you create a backup prior to upgrading? Restoring and re-importing a backup is often the quickest way to get the server back up and running.
How long did you wait after the upgrade before restarting the server? It can take time but also if you have rebooted before the upgrade finished, that could also cause issues.
How much hard drive space has been given to the VM? Exactly how is this space organized?
If you only have the default hard drive, you've likely run out of space. Additionally, if you've increased the size of the default drive, it has actually NOT been increased. To increase the drive size, you must add additional drives, not additional space on the initial drive.
You may want to contact your local support teams so they can run through the issue with you, gather logs, etc. This isn't always something we can easily resolve on a forum and it can usually be quicker with direct contact with support.
