Hi Support Team,
I saw under knowledge base #:FA177004 (see statement below) that port 20 ftp and 21/22 ssh need to be opened to fix the ddf failed error but our customer mentioned that they can only open port 22 ssh, i want to verify if they open only the port 22 will have no more issue on the ddf.Kindly advise.Thanks.
DOC ID: FA177004
Please be sure to enable FTP or SSH on the device itself. Make sure that any firewalls between StruxureWare and the affected device(s) are allowing the appropriate protocols and ports (20 for ftp and 21 for ssh). Also make sure that the appropriate user names, passwords, protocols, and ports are listed in StruxureWare under the device menu, SNMP device communication settings, and device file transfer settings. You can add or edit current listings. You can also create entries for ranges of devices as well as entries for specific devices.

Hi Eric,
That should work as long as you have all of the NMC cards configured for SSH. If the target devices are all configured for only FTP, this will fail. Also, if FTP is disabled on the network, we won't be able to mass-configure this option on the device from DCE as the config.ini is also pushed using these protocols.

Hi Steven,
We still having the said error for all UPS that we discovered to DCE, however, all rack pdu are Ok.I have checked the config file from UPS card and rack pdu and seems no difference in terms of network configuration.
The customer have opened the port 22 for FTP as a proof we abled to get the config file thru the said protocol. Please advise any other possible cause of this error message. Thanks.
Additional information:
DCE is running on 7.2.7 (latest version)
UPS Card Model is AP9631
RACK PDU Model is AP8853
