Hello team hope you had a nice holiday vacation,
Once again i'm in need of your help..
I am in the middle of my data center room planning and i was playing around with the work order processes.
While I was try to assign a WOP (work order process) to an equipment I have, I've noticed that struxureware wouldn't recognize its power/network connections
The only way i found for it to recognize these connections is by using the recording task and manually re-adding the connections, which seem odd to me
I tried to look it up in the guides and the videos you provide but could not find a solution
Could you please help me to understand how can i assign an equipment to a WOP with all of its connections?
Thank you very much!

Hi Gleb,
Hope you had nice holidays too,
In StruxureWare Data Center Operation, work order processes and the option to schedule recurring work orders help you manage repetitive tasks. (Creating and applying work order processes) So in general, tasks can be used as template (as process), but not operations like adding certain hardware/server, network and/or power cabling, etc.
Kind regards

Hello Jef thank you for the quick answer,
If i understand what you are saying is that, there is no way of a work order to recognize the connections that server has and i always must add them manually? even if i had the connection pre-configured i have to delete it and then add it again so the WOP will record this task?
Kind regards

Hi Gleb,
You are most welcome. Yes, we would need to manually make/add the connections.
If you have the connection pre-configured, then either you might want to delete and add it again (to be recorded), or perhaps add a user defined task saying something like connect network between ....
Kind regards

Hi Jef,
Okay thank you for the explanation, is there a way of creating something that will automatically recognize the pre-configured connections?
Thnak you

Hi Gleb,
Sorry, there is no way to create work orders that can automatically recognize the pre-configured connections.
