For a recent project inspection, the consultant performed a test by switching off Bank breakers of AP8853 Rack PDU to test if we have an Alarm in DCE 7.4.1. But unfortunately there was no Alarms and the situation was not that good in front of client and consultant. I checked the device sensors and did not find any relating bank circuit breakers. Please advise a solution.
Thanks & Regards

As far as I know, Rack PDU does not have a sensor value to indicate the Circuit Breaker on/off status. Its not DCE related feature, and its the function of the PDU. If the PDU provides the circuit breaker status, then the DCE will be able to show the sensor value of the same.
The only work around which I can suggest currently is to set the customized current threshold for each of the banks current, and therefore the low value alarm will be created by DCE in case if the current/power is not drawn from the load due to tripped circuit breaker.
You may also think on placing the Switched Rack PDUs from which you can know the status of the individual outlet on/off status, and can set the threshold for the same.
I also suggest other community experts to suggest on your query.

Thanks for your reply.
In this project the Consultant is very strict and they are not accepting any thing unless they have an alarm for Circuit Breaker ON/OFF in DCE.
Challenge here is consultant wants to do test when there is no load in banks and so the Current value will always be zero. So I am not able to relate his requirement or generate an alarm using the "Current - Bank1" sensor.
Do you think if I get the MIB file for AP8853 and if do an SNMP walk, will I be able to find an OID relating to "Circuit Breaker Status" (with status: normal, off, on..)
How can I request for MIB file for AP8853?

Dear Shemil, I understand your concern. I am sorry to disappoint you that AP8853 does not have the OID to know the status of the Circuit Breaker On/Off status. So no way we can read the CB status in DCE. I am sorry.
