IEC 61499 does not specify the programming language so FB’s can be programmed using any programming language such as C++. Please contact your Schneider Electric representative to learn how you can leverage existing IP with Ecostruxture Automation Expert.

Actually part of our 20.2 delivery coming soon, a special kind of function block will be available: FB_DLL

This function block can allow you to create your own native IP and embed it inside the runtime logic.
