ComX Extract Task Fails

Hello there. I'm using EDC v3.7.52.1 and the ComX Extract Task is failling. I've attached an example csv file that would fail. The error message I'm getting when attempting to run the task shows:

201907171658152629199EDC_Job_NKSStockholm,2019-07-17 16:58:18.950,ERROR,aos-misc-prod\JGivens,ComX Invalid File Info,Input File 'F:\EDC\DataFiles\NKSStockholm\01.FTPDownload\PLC_20190717091500.csv' is invalid. Error 'Invalid header. Expected '8' tags; but '1' found.',,

I'm trying to process many of these csv files, but atached is an example (the one referenced in the error message); however, all csv files have the same basic layout, and all of the csv files are producing that same error message. Thanks in advance!

**EDIT** I kept getting error messages when attempting to attach the csv file, so I just had to post without it. I've uploaded it to BOX and it can be found here:

Hi Jeffrey,

Can you please share the EDC Job file and let me know what EDC version you are using?

Thanks,

Tom

Re: ComX Extract Task Fails

Hi Jeffrey,

I'm pretty sure that the Com'X and EGX extract tasks only work with comma as a delimiter, not with semicolon:

https://community.exchange.se.com/t5/EDC-Forum/How-to-set-up-ComX200-to-send-data-to-a-central-repos...

Also, since you're using custom measurements, I'd expect some work mapping those manually, if not needing a Python extract task instead of the standard COM'X task

Hope it helps

Re: ComX Extract Task Fails

Thanks for the prompt response. I informed the Engineer that handles this customer to see if they can swap to 'comma' separators instead of semicolons. Once we get this adjustment, I'll let you know if the task succeeds or fails. No timeline on execution is known at this point, though.

Re: ComX Extract Task Fails

Just letting everyone here know that modifying the delimiter to be a comma DID resolve the task failures we were experiencing. Additionally, it should be noted that the Default "date format" had to be modified as well. The task expected the format "YYYY-MM-DD" by default, but the ComX was sending "DD-MM-YYYY" ...fortunately, there is a setting in the task to change this to DD-MM-YYYY so it was an easy resolution. Thanks for the help. Cheers!
