Just thought I'd drop a quick thread in here. If you are like me you like to use different browsers because you are difficult by nature and like to do things with panache, you may have noticed that Chrome (Google's browser) doesn't really like the secure connections to the network management cards without some tweaking. It turns out that RC4_MD5 and RC4_SHA don't work with Chrome however, both DES settings (regular DES and 3DES) work just fine for SSL connections.
This is what I did to make things work across most browsers (Chrome 5, Firefox 3.6, and IE8 tested with SUMX 3.5.5 and greater):
1) Login to the management card's web interface. If it's an https connection, use whatever browser you know to work. If it's a regular connection, you will probably need to read some standard APC administration documentation to do so.
2) Once you have logged in go to administration.
3) Click the network button
4) Click the ssl cipher suite link on the left side.
5) Select 3DES [168 bit]
6) Click apply.
7) Log out.
8) Log in to your https session using your preferred browser.
This was rather frustrating to me and I hope this can help someone else.
