Support is required for the Automated Engineering Tool commonly known as AET
EcoStruxure Building Operation, Automated Engineering Tool
Further support is required for Automated Engineering Tool AET.
For more information including videos, user guides, specification sheets, etc about the tool, please visit the Schneider Electric Exchange and EcoStruxure Building Management System WebHelp.
For assistance or to report problems with the AET applications/programs, please post your questions on the Exchange Community.
In order to report functional problems with AET, please reference the support contact information found in Automated Engneering Tool - PA-00559 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The functionality of the different tools and/or software does not operate as expected. Issues can appear related to controller functionality or possibly issues with how the standard programs work.

When the latest versions of software and firmware are not being used, previously identified issues can cause problems with downloads or the operation of controllers.
In other situations, it is possible that the proper steps or tools are not being used correctly. This could require further instruction and information.
In most situations, the troubleshooting steps below will address a majority of issues encountered while working with the AET and the standard applications.
EBO software and SmartX firmware being used should be at the latest version
Between updates and fixes to the software/firmware, you should be using the latest versions found on the Exchange.
AET software should be up to date
Between updates and fixes, make sure you are using the latest version of the AET software which can be found on the Exchange.
AET templates should be up to date
You can reference the AET Quick Help - Downloading AET Templates video or the SmartVAV: Software Engineering Process document for further direction.
Understanding the proper way to use the Automated Engineering Tool
There exist a number of AET Quick Help Videos available on the Community to help with AET user skills. If there are any topics not covered in a video that you are searching for, be sure to leave a post with the new video idea.
After importing a new template into AET, the different folders and objects are all different colors. What does each color represent?

Each color indicates a different status for the object. Some must be resolved before proceeding and others are information only.
Below is the list of the different status colors and their meanings:
Red – Duplicated object. This must be corrected.
Green – Existing folder.
Orange – Folder with duplicated object below.
Black – New object or folder.
Blue – Existing object in EcoStruxure system tree

Light Blue – Empty IO Channel
What is the compatible SpaceLogic BACnet/IP device firmware version for my EBO or Tridium Niagara N4 installation?
EcoStruxure Building Operation, TAC IA Series
SpaceLogic BACnet/IP devices
Tridium Niagara N4.7 and later versions Jace 8000
Tridium Niagara N4.7 and later versions Enterprise Server
The SpaceLogic (f ormerly known as SmartX) IP Controllers shipped from the factory may not have the latest firmware installed. It is essential to verify that the controller has the latest firmware build loaded for the EcoStruxure Building Operation version or Tridium Niagara N4 build being used before programming the controller.
The below table contains the supported SpaceLogic BACnet/IP devices firmware for each EBO release.
* New v3.2 features are not supported when used with EBO v3.1.x. Note: RP-C is only supported on EBO 3.0 and later
SpaceLogic BACnet/IP devices can be upgraded using WorkStation , as explained in Updating Firmware in BACnet/IP Controllers.
SpaceLogic BACnet/IP devices firmware can also be upgraded u sing the eCommission SmartX Controller mobile application, you can download firmware to either a single BACnet/IP controller or multiple controllers, even if not hosted. This is only supported over an IP connection, as explained in Using the eCommission SmartX Controller Mobile Application to Download Firmware to BACnet/IP Controllers
SpaceLogic BACnet/IP devices firmware is only approved at v3.02.03 currently for Jace 8000 and Niagara Enterprise Server using N4.7 and newer platforms.
