Xenta controller Universal Inputs

Issue

What does it mean when a TAC controller is said to have a Universal Input?

Environment

  • Xenta Programmable Controllers
  • Xenta I/O modules

Cause

Universal typically means all types; however, this definition does not apply to TAC Xenta controllers.

Resolution

With respect to TAC Xenta controllers, the term "Universal" means more than one type of input. It is important that the project planner review the data sheet to determine the exact definition for "Universal" as it applies to any TAC Xenta device.
