How to install and use I/NET with SQL located on a separate PC


  • I/NET 2.40 and above
  • Full SQL

Equalization, FileMaster, File Master, Equalized Client, Remote Client, Equalize, FM, EQ, RC, MSDE, Express, Full SQL, SQL, TCP/IP, Connection


The SQL database may be located on a separate server for IT, security, or backup requirements.

  1. Install full SQL on a PC and take a note of the IP address. Make sure the following criteria are met:
    • The server must be on the Ethernet.
    • Provide SQL services.
    • Allow authorized clients to connect, and have an I/NET database.
  2. Setup I/NET on the Host PC as a Remote client and redirect it to the PC with SQL installed, IO server must be running on 1 of the remote clients (This Client will be in charge of updating AMT, Trends, Network Functions)
