Would an RBC33 works in my UPS HT 1000?

This was originally posted on APC forums on 11/18/2011

I have an APC UPS model HT 1000. I need to replace that battery. My friend has a new RBC33 which he does not use and gave it to me. My unit need the RBC32 battery. However, both the RBC33 and RBC32 are identical physically and the plugs wise. Could I use the RBC33 in my unit?
Thanks.

They are very similar battery packs.
RBC33 is used in higher capacity UPS and uses higher discharge rate batteries.

I suppose you could use RBC33 in place of RBC32 you just won't take advantage of the higher discahrge rate.
RBC33 costs more than RBC32, but in this case it doesn't matter.
