WTH? I can't fit my plugs into the outlets

I just received a back-UPS 450G and I can't fit my plugs into it! There's only one outlet that I can fit a plug into easily, the others I can't even jiggle one in. Am I going to have to mail it back for being defective? I really don't have time for this!

I should probably mention I'm using regular 3-prong American plugs from my monitor and my PC.

Gary is correct. The NEMA 5-15 outlets on that product are designed to be snug in order to ensure a quality electrical connection. You will find that subsequent attempts to plug devices into the outlets will not be as difficult as the outlets go through something of a "break-in" period.

Thanks guys. It was not possible to even wedge a plug in. I took a little screwdriver and pressed against one of the little pieces of metal that was blocking the plug. It opened it right up and I got the plug in no problem. I think it was misaligned somehow.

I had the same problem with mine. you just have to push the plug firm and move it around at the same time, it will go in. They are all like that.
