I have 2 of these with the same issue. One is connected to my furnace which draws about 6 amps. The other to my Pellet stove that draws 9 amps worse case. Both exhibit the same issue. the manual does not discuss the problem. Both Ups have all the battery level LEDS flash when the appliance is running. The draw level of each shows only 1-2 LEDS lit on the right side. All the LEDS are on and flashing on the battery level (right) side. After the appliance comes on and runs for a few minutes, the LEDS stop flashing and are solid lit. Battery level on both UPSs seems to be fully charged. The batteries are new on both UPSs. What does this mean???? No other leds are on and the self test shows no problems.

it basically means that the runtime remaining on your UPS is within 2 minutes of the low battery signaling time (which is 2 minutes by default). the UPS is trying to tell you that your runtime is low because when the UPS hits the low battery signaling time, it would tell things to start shutting down - if it were a computer or server.

it sounds like maybe the runtime dips down on the UPS when the UPS load is drawing a lot of in rush current maybe.
