Ok so everything was normal i connected the ups to a power source and then bam i hear a voice in the background not from the ups and the general power just goes off, my ups protects the pc i had connected to it but when i restart the ups it doesn't recharge the battery, could anyone help a novice out

Hi,
Try resetting the UPS
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.
If it still will not charge after the reset that would indicated the charging circuitry took a hit during the power outage and the UPS should be replaced.
