High CPU usage solved with upgrade to PowerChute Personal Edition 2.1.1

Hi everyone-
I have a new Vista laptop and noticed extremely high CPU usage (46-49%) coming from the APC PowerChute Personal Edition v. 2.0 software (mainserv.exe) that came with my UPS.
I was getting ready to uninstall this resource hog, and thought to check the APC website for updates. (The old software was dated 2005).

First I upgraded to v. 2.1.0 for Vista (which should have been removed from the list). This didn't change the CPU usage.
Then I happened to search for software using the "Filter By Hardware" option at https://www.apcc.com/tools/download/ .
This time v. 2.1.1 showed up so I installed that, and voila, problem solved! CPU usage is now down to about 2%.

Anyway, I'm just posting this to help any Vista users out there who might be having, or didn't notice they were having, this problem. In Vista, you can check it in the Reliability and Performance Monitor.
I have the older version on my XP machine, but it shows no sign of the CPU problem.

Good call! I saw this before when v2.1.1 was not available and found myself stumped. Thankfully 2.1.1 takes care of this issue.
