HI,
Just got a new BR1500MS and it has been plugged in, powered off with no load, for the last 4 days.
I just put it in service this morning, and noticed that the battery indicator is only showing 4 bars. That was right out of the gate on initial power up.
The QA Test printout shows a date of 11/14/2019 so this has been sitting around since then, but I wouldn't expect the battery to need to be replaced after only 2 months of sitting idle.
Do you think that it would be worthwhile to try and recalibrate the UPS, or is it more likely that there is a defect either with the battery or the UPS?
Thanks,

Interesting... Even though the UPS had been sitting and (supposedly) charging for about 4 days it was only showing 4 bars when I moved it over and actually put it in service.
I was working on installing apcupsd on Linux and I happened to note that it was reporting about 97% charge. This was after an hour or so. I had checked a number of times after putting the UPS into actual service and it was still only showing 4 bars on the battery indicator.
I checked it again and it was showing 5 bars, and after a bit more time had passed apcupsd was reporting 100% charge.
So looks like it is working OK at this point, although it is a bit strange that it wasn't at 100% after 4 days of charging with no load.
