My LS 700 battery had a short tab when trying to replace. In attempting to pull it out, the short tab broke off. Can't pull it out. Any suggestions or solutions.
Thanks

Hi Jan,
Are you talking about the plastic tab that is attached to the battery or the plastic tab that serves as a lock for the battery door? If it is the one for the battery door, you can try to use a screw driver to pry it open. If it is the tab on the battery itself, you can try to tilt the UPS and let the battery slide downward. If the battery has swollen, then that is a different thing. If the battery is too hot to touch, you can have it unplugged and put a fan infront of it to cool down.
If you are really having a hard time getting it out and you still wanted to use the UPS you can contact our authorized service center - Coastal Business Machines.
