The UPS was beeping saying we needed to replace the battery, so we did. We purchased a NEW battery specific to the UPS. We installed the battery. Now, please see below.
As the topic says, the UPS is giving us a blinking battery image with an X in the middle of it. The blinking "x-battery" is right next to the Battery Charge bar. The bar is full and shows to be fully charged.
Again, this battery is brand new.
There are no other indicators showing up other than "on line". (the plug). The "load" is at 14%, we don't have much plugged into it.
I am not able to easily reset this UPS due to it powering a network switch.
Why is the replace battery blinking of the battery is brand new and the Batter Charge bar is completely full?

The UPS run a self-test every 2 week and at start up while in operation. So running a self-test should not cause a shut down of attached equipment. If you are concerned I recommend waiting until there is a time when the load can be powered down and then run the test.

Hi,
Let the new battery charge for 12 hours run and then run a self-test. If the issue is not cleared after the self-test then you should reset / brain Dead the UPS.
Reset / Brain Dead
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.

I'll give this a try next time I can. Quick question, does running a self-test cause any power issues? In other words, can I do this while it's plugged in an fully operational or is it going to shut itself off during the self-test?
Also, side note: the UPS has been plugged in for over a week.
