Over the weekend, my Back-UPS ES 750 starting draining without any power loss. I unplugged everything, removed the battery, waited several minutes and put it all back together. This time, I plugged my computer only into the surge protection outlets.
Upon reboot, PowerChute still shows a drain while charging. The Self-Test passes. (Oddly, after running the self test, the remaining battery charge just doubled to 14%. Then just dropped to 13% as I was looking at it.)
The battery is over three years old, but before replacing it, I'm trying to confirm that the Back-UPS unit is still working.
(EDIT: 9/28/16: PowerChute started constantly displaying messages that the unit was bad and I needed to replace it. Not very happy with APC right now.)
