I am currently using an iMac desktop computer. I also have a printer...I will be adding a dvd burner...and I am using DSL through Verizon. I am looking for a UPS that will allow me to shut down my computer manually in the event the power goes out or I have a brown out. I just don't want my system or files damaged. I had one years ago but it no longer works and I am in the market for a new one. I have been told to be sure it has a
phone-line input jack...Rating of 600joules or better...indicator light and to see how many outlets the unit has.
I am not sure whether to use a Stand by line interactive or on-line. I am very new to this
I want to be sure my machine doesn't get fried. If anyone out there has any input I would really appreciate it
