Hey guys,
I just bought the apc es 750 ups mainly for it to back up my 42inch tv, xbox360, and my bluray player. So i hooked everything up and plugged the ups to the outlet and everything is ok the green light is on. In the manual it said for a full charge the battery needs 16 hrs. However, after 2 hours i decided to hook up the data cable to my mac to see the status and according to the energy saver the battery is 100% charged. So I was wondering whether some of the batteries come already partially charged or do i have a faulty battery? I cant use that powerchute software because im running osx 10.5.8
any help or suggestions will be appreciated

You are all set. Your battery is working absolutely fine 🙂
The Battery charge will be discharged if it is not connected to the unit for sometime and when it is shipped. In this case, the battery will not have its full charge out of box. That is the reason, APC normally recommends the users to charge the battery for 16 hrs prior to using it in order to expect its expected battery runtime since the battery is disconnected while shipped. If the battery shows 100% charge, then everything is fine. The UPS charges its battery as soon as it is plugged in.
please let us know if you have any question. Have a nice day!
