Hi everyone,
I have a Smart UPS RT 6000 and recently I bought an additional battery for it.
I connect the battery to the UPS but I think that it is not working yet, because for example the UPS was still 100% charged after I installed the battery.
I read somewhere (I think in the manual) that I have to "enable" the battery from the control panel of the UPS.
Ok, I went to the web browser interface of the UPS but I can't find any option to enable the battery or something like that..
Can someone tell what to do and where to "enable" the battery of the UPS?
Thx

Hi,
The batteries are hot swappable so the UPS will not reboot / restart.

In your Network Management Card, do you have a blue/white interface with tabs at the top?
If so, go to UPS->Configuration->General and you should have a field in there to add a number. It may say 1 already to count the internal battery so you can bump it to 2.

Ok I found it..just one more question: Does the UPS restart or do something that could disconnect the power supply to the servers attached to it?
