Can someone please tell me if it's possible to reset the username and password on these devices. I am unable to access the device through hyper-terminal it's possible the previous keeper may have changed the default username and password. I am able to connect to the device through hyper-terminal but when I enter in the default username "apc" and password "apc" it just asks me for it again. After three attempts it tells me I'm locked out for 2 minutes.

Hi,
The SURTD model Smart-UPS have limited access over serial communications.
The SURTD models do not support UPSLink commands like the SUA model units do.

Hi
I have a SURTD3000XLi and the menu is reduced as shown in the photo. I need to modify the battery constant and I cannot access the hidden menu. I did it without problems in several UPS but in this I could not. The UPS also has a network board but I tried to remove it and it didn't work either. Does anyone know how to enter the hidden menu for these cases?
Thank you

Hello,
The instructions are here (http://www.apc.com/support/index?page=content&country=ITB〈=en&locale=en_US&id=FA156075) on resetting the username and password. The SURT3000XLI is the UPS but you're likely accessing the UPS Network Management Card installed in it. You'll just want to double check the model - AP9619 or AP9631 most likely - so that you get the sequence correctly.

Can you confirm that the serial port on the ups device is actually accessing the AP9619 Network Management Card and it's the card I'm resetting.

It sounds like it is because of the username and password prompt you're receiving. Did you confirm it is model AP9619 installed? If it is easier too, you can remove the network cable temporarily on the AP9619 (or whatever model it is) so you can focus on the single status LED that should remain on it to watch how it flashes to complete the steps.
If you have a picture of the rear, I can also tell you what I see if that helps.
