Recommended settings for Smart UPS 1500?

I've had a look around the forums, website and documentation but haven't so far found any recommended settings for the power parameters within Powerchute.
I look after a number of individual sites (single server) all with the same UPS and quite a number of them showing AVR Trim warnings - I'm just wondering if anyone could advise of a "sensible" setup for these options? I have been informed by a colleague that a high transfer voltage of "265" and sensitivity to "low" are recommended but haven't found any documentation to back this up yet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The setting should depend on your load more so than the UPS itself.

Trim is just a feature to bring down slightly high voltage, so the unit doesn't go to battery right away to protect your equipment. If you're only occassionally seeing this alert, you probably should just leave the setting alone. If you get it excessively, verify your load can happily accept a slightly higher voltage and raise the transfer point accordingly. Remember, when the unit is not trimming... "what comes in comes out."

As for sensitivity, if you're not seeing excessive transfers to battery, you should probably leave this setting alone too. If you have a generator, often they produce power that the UPS wants to filter out by switching to battery since it's not too clean. Lowering the sensitivity just allows for unit to be slightly more tolerant to distortion in the power.
