I manage 1,400 different Smart-UPS 1500 RM, all have AP9617 NMCs in 7 different time zones. Using the INI Utility, I scripted all the NMCs to point to a primary and secondary NTP server, updates run every 168 hours. Here is my config.ini that is uploaded to all the east coast NMCs:
DateFormat=mm/dd/yyyy
DSTConfiguration=Traditional US
NTPEnable=enabled
NTPPrimaryServer=PrimaryIP
NTPSecondaryServer=SecondaryIP
NTPTimeZone=-05:00
NTPUpdateInterval=168
After the script ran, the NMCs did not contact the NTP server and consequently all times are not correct. Is there a way to force the UPS to contact the NTP server without logging into all 1,400 NMCs and clicking UPDATE NOW? Looking for something like script command like NTPUpdateNow=1.

someone asked me this recently and i think i discovered that there is not a way to do it unfortunately. if you're making other changes that force the card to reboot to take affect, that should do the trick. i understand this is not ideal though.
also, i havent tested it but disabling/enabling NTP should do it 😕
