AP7922 Backdoor Password Required

This was originally posted on APC forums on 2/13/2020

Hi...

we have an AP7922 PDU that we acquired used. Its serial number is ZA1002007798. I would be really grateful if someone in APC could generate a back door password for me as its pretty much just a brick for us right now.

many thanks

Liam

Hi Bill...

thanks for this. Unfortunately we have been through this procedure multiple times - our electronics engineer came in and made multiple different serial cables all with different pinouts. In spite of everything we tried, we cannot get a prompt on the serial console. This guy does know what he is doing 🙂

However, we have managed to find its original IP address so we can connect via telnet and http.

Can you generate a password that would allow us to do a reset over telnet?

Hi,

Please review page 5 of the User's Guide for assistance with resetting lost password. https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_File_Name=ASTE-6Z6KAV_R1_EN.pdf&p_Doc_Ref=SPD_ASTE-6...
