Hi,
I've bought a used AP7921, and I think I messed up with the network configuration and I need some help.
When configuring the network settings, I didn't want for the pdu to be accessible outside the network, so I put 0.0.0.0 as the gateway. Now I can no longer reach the pdu. Is there a way to reset the netwotk configuration to factory ? I tried to hold the reset button but not luck.
I hope the serial cable is not the only way to fix this, because I don't have it. 😕
Regards.

Well the documentation does say so, but only for the loopback address (127.0.0.1), it does not say anything about 0.0.0.0, which as a route should be equivalent to no gateway.
Like I said it's a used pdu (I got it for $100 :D), and so no cable or anything, just the plain raw pdu. However, I did manage to make a cable by myself, I followed the schematics APC7900 RJ-12 to Opengear DB-9 found here: http://www.opengear.com/APC%207900%20connection.pdf

If you use the loopback address or address such as 255.255.255.255 or 0.0.0.0 for the default gateway it can disable access to the PDU, and yes, the only way to reset it would be via a serial login. If your PDU is in warranty, tech support can generally send you a new one.
