Since upgrading Powerchute to 10.0.2.301 I've got a variety of servers now deluging me with communication lost emails.
All UPS's are fine, status is a green tick, diagnostics are fine.
What's been broken by APC?
And how do I stop the false alarms so I dont turn blind to a real problem.
Smart UPS 750, 1000, 1500... Only common issue is Powerchute...
(Seeing if I can get a reply here as a post 2 weeks ago on another section got no replies...)
Heres an example of the event log.

Sorry for not replying to your earlier post. I have removed it moved this post to the proper community.
You can disable e-mail notifications for this event. Log in to the PowerChute UI and go to PowerChute - Event Configuration. Then deselect E-Mail for Communication Lost.
What appears to be happening is when the UPS reports exits Green Mode, PowerChute is recording a temporary communication lost state.
Questions:
What version were you running before 10.0.2?
Before receiving the notification, is the PC/Server in a sleep state, and when the message is received, has the PC/Server been woken?
When you check the UPS log does it report entering and exiting Green Mode?

I don't want to disable the email communications.
I want to know when the power goes out, or the voltage is wonky, or the battery needs replacing.
So - That's a non starter.
In terms of the machines - they are all servers. Always online.
Previous version? I'll have to see if I can find a log of it - but only the previous revision of 10.0.1.x

Just had one UPS send me 120 emails in the spate of a 10 minutes.
But the log didn't give that many alerts...

Sorry. I was not clear. earlier. My suggest was to deselect e-mail for the Communication Lost event. Not deselect e-mail notification for all events.

Okay - Still going on.
Still getting nagged about emails from the UPS coming online.
Even got to run one battery down to nothing due to a power failure on site - but still getting the comms issues.
I'm getting blind to the alerts now - And I got angry at almost getting caught out in the noise.

I guess I need to try different forms of support as the forums are a waste of time lol
